also often people get hurt more from the airbag than they do from the actual crash. its basically a small bomb, with a bag on the end of it. trust me you never want to see a 6ft square metal box containing 50 airbag modules, go off all at once. the metal box alone works like a frag grenade sending shards of razor sharp metal flying in all directions
thats the thing with airbags, they only go off when a certain point of the car gets hit. if you get slammed in the side of the car often the front sensors will not register it thus not setting the steering wheel airbag off. although a small bump to the sensor will make it activate..
Some sort of the same happened to me with me in the car. We were driving home one day and turned a corner at the top of a blind hill in our 1990's Infiniti I30T. I don't think I've seen one for about 5 years....... But none the less, we were turning and a Volvo V70 station wagon flew up over the hill and slammed the front corner of the car. It wasn't totaled, but the car did a 180 and the passenger window exploded, it was sort of funny, Crazy part is, the airbags did not deploy and no one was injured. But really, ow can you be injured in a Volvo? XD
Just a little update on my life I guess... My mom got into a car accident with our beloved 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT 2.4L Turbo, thankfully my mom was not injured . A GMC Denali ran a red light and hit the very rear of the car, causing it to spin around 180 degrees and slam into the curb, breaking the rear lower suspension arm and possibly the rear axel mount. 3 rims, a new rear bumper, passenger side rear fender, right hand tail light, and suspension all need to be replaced. Just the rims alone (which are special for the GT trim model) cost $1600 for 3! Were worried insurance might total the car, but I wouldn't give up on it like that because it still runs just fine. I'll post pictures later on the real life car thread...
strictly speaking its not an UPDATE, your game version number will not change. More accurate name for it would be a Patch ( which is what its actually called.) But yeah installing the patch will provide you with some new cars not already in the game, it will fix some of the physics for the cars ( like traction ) and it among other things will also make all cars paintable/stickerable..
but if you dont want to install that the "paintshop unlocker" is your only other choice.
Not 100% sure. but i think you will need a fully updated game to use the Patch, as it changes some thing which were only added to later game updates.. So if you are running a pirate copy, you might not be able to use it ( im not sure on that fact, more of a suspicion)
